Revisions to NR 151 (Runoff Management) became effective January 1, 2011. The revisions add and modify performance standards that address runoff pollution from construction sites, developed urban areas, and transportation facilities.
The principle change to the developed urban area performance standard is the inclusion of a process that permitted municipalities can use if they cannot meet the total suspended solids reduction of 40% by 2013, allowing up to a 10 year extension if a stormwater management plan is developed and followed.
